Pupils’ take-away lunch warning

The main points of this article are that students are eating junk food because it’s cheaper, faster, and tastes better than school food and it does no good to ban fast food on campus because students just go off campus to get food. There has been a series of initiatives to make the food better, nutritional and more appealing but, schools need to face it, their food just doesn’t taste good and it’s ridiculously expensive. For HTHMA the lunches are $4.50 for a little amount that flies sometimes crawl over and bruised fruit. I see why kids would rather buy something from a chain restaurant than the school lunch system. Mr. Balls supports “stay-on-site” and says that this will help support healthy eating.

This article might affect my candidate because he is heavily involved in education and if elected wants to really get into education. Eliminating the department of education and involving prayer into the school curriculum are only part of his plan to make education better. Since he is so involved I think that he would ban fast foods around schools because they are a serious health problem. This would affect his campaign because some people might oppose this and would go against him in the long run.

My candidate’s likely response to this is that we need to put into effect all the restrictions on fast food so that are children are all healthy because he is really a goody two shoes when it comes to education because he has voted for prayer in school and he wants to really install religion into the school system.

Current Event #1 - Obama Shatters Records With Unprecedented Money Grab

Obama's campaign has raised more than $600 million dollars and its effecting the election because he has mcuh more money than the other candidates. Obama's campaign is really capitalizing on his message of hope and has made more than every other presidential candidate ever. Obama is the first major party candidate to refuse the public campaign financing. He said that he would take the public campaign financing and then went back on his word.

This article might affect my candidate and campaign because Obama has the most money and can really pay for advertising and ads in the media. The Barr campaign has barely raised a little over $1 million dollars and is a third party, out of the limelight. There are 1 million voters for the Libetarian Party and most of the country is either voting democrat or republican. That is a lot of people. Much more than the libertarian party.

My candidates likely response to this is probably to keep on going. This isn't really a big event because Obama is really letting out all the stops in his campaign and is overshadowing everybody except McCain and he is still doing better than everybody.
